About The Event
Then travel to Clifton Street Graveyard where characters will be brought to life by the actors from Blue Eagle productions
Clifton Street Cemetery in Belfast holds the graves of some of Belfast's most illustrious figures from the past. Come and meet the characters and let them tell their story - from Henry Joy McCracken the leading United Irishman and his sister Mary Ann, to World War 1 hero, John Spencer Dunville VC. It is also houses some of Belfast's most noted industrialists such as Marcus Ward and William Ewart. Aside from these notable characters the performances reflect Belfast's social history and one of the characters tells the story of the thousands of Cholera victims interred in the cemetery as well as the graverobber, who plies his trade there amongst the gravestones!
